Guest Kate & Nath
Hi Myself and my boyfriend are moving to perth in 3 weeks and are finding it hard to find a rented property. we have been advised to look in the following areas : Hillarys, Trigg, Scarborough, City Beach, Mount Lawley, Leederville, Subiaco, Joondalup, Currambine, Iluka, connolly, Ocean reef, Mullaloo, Kallaroo ..... when i have searched for these areas (we are wanting a pool) they are at least $800 per week. Is this the average rental price?? can anyone help with this. also can anyone advise us of a shipping company to use Thanks Kate ... & Nath x
riboid
Not easy getting property. Took me a right few weeks to get sorted with property. Properties near the city centre are expensive. Mines, in Inglewood, beside Mount Lawley is 620 a week. Brand new house but there are that many variables, in school catchment areas etc. If you go right out the city, 20 - 30 km you can pay 350 - 500 a week, coming further in, you will start hitting over $500 a week. Regarding pool, not many of them, near city centre with them. You would have to go out further for that and if in city centre, you will pay heavy for it. Why not forget the pool, get lease for 6 months, get settled in and then start looking, get the feel of the place first. I was focussed on trying to get the 'perfect' house. This house, though, for me. just happens to tick all the boxes though, minus the pool.
Guest MeMe
Hey!! We are also moving to Perth - actually in 2 weeks - 2 weeks today & we are in the position that my husbands work is organising accomodation but we have been told to look in areas such as Rockingham - which is percieved as not such a great area so the prices are lower but we know people out there that say the area is in fact very nice. So may be worth a look!! Marianne x
verystormy
Have a look at Rockingham and Mandurah. Southport in Mandurah is fantastic. We have been there 3 years and love it. Not many houses and they are all on a gold course with a fantastic beach. There are some houses with pools available at the moment for about the $400 a week mark. Have a look at Port Bouvard Real estate.

verystormy
It's not the area, it's the Bogan idiots that live there spoilling it! But thats Perth. A friend of mine bought in Applecross. Neighbours house turned out to be a crack den. Only discovered when a local "working" girl was found dead there. Perth is basicaly the modern version of the old Oz. The rest of the country sends its bogans here to get rid of them
