Guest thepallis Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Hi all, Has anyone got any info on having B12 injections and Thyroid meds (Thyroxine). I know I will have to pay for these in Perth but was wondering if anyone knows how much it will cost, roughly. Cheers Sharon
ali 189 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Here is a link to medicare and PBS medications. Pharmacy's may offer a cheaper brand (but it will be the same medication). http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/public/services/scripts/index.jsp

Cheers Sharon Hi Sharon, I'm on thyroxin too and stock piled it before coming as it was free in UK. Have got about 8 months worth, so haven't yet needed to pay for any! Guest thepallis Report post Posted September 22, 2011 Hi Ali_M, our docs will only give enough for 3 months at a time, might try getting some more before I need them, fingers crossed, if not I will just pay for them. Sharon
Guest Roberta Report post Posted September 25, 2011 Hi there Sharon - did you know that you can have B12 without injections? TriVita's Sublingual B12 is TGA listed, meaning that is is approved as a B12 supplement by the Australian regulatory body. It is a little berry tasting tablet you put under your tongue and it dissolves into your blood stream. Here's a link: http://www.pinkcactusjuice.com.au It is not available in shops or chemists, so you can go on-line and order it. It you would like more info including the TGA document please message me. Thanks Roberta
Guest thepallis Report post Posted September 26, 2011 Thanks Roberta, I have to have the injections as I don't absorb B12, so supplements are no good, I had this conversation with Dr as I would prefer that, I hate injections. Thanks anyway. Sharon
