Whats it like in this area? Ocean Reef is a nice suburb albeit one of the more expensive ones as it is oceanside. Ocean Reef SHS is your catchment state high school and depending on where you live you will be covered by Ocean Reef Primary or Beaumaris Primary. Joondalup and Whitfords are your nearest shopping precincts with lots of amenities for the whole family.

Guest Tiffany
Thank you for your advice. My boys are 16 and 17 and are really into roller blading and skateboards. They have asked if we can live in an area where they can leave the house and skate to an "awsome" skate park (that hasnt got a troublesome reputation). Is there one near Ocean Reef? Are there surfing clubs/sailing clubs/ windsurfing/jet ski etc etc nearby or is it a bus ride away? Basically, I would like some help in finding a place to rent that has 1. Good schools and colleges 2. Skateparks and activity clubs 3. Walking distance from the beach 4. Close to bus route 5. Local restaurants and bars 6. Safe Does Ocean Reef provide all of this. Dont know Perth at all. Apart from Ocean Reef, where would you say would be a desirable suburb to live.

Parts are walking distance from beach and there are plenty of buses. No bars and the odd restaurant. Fairly safe.
