Midwife with telephone interview Wednesday - help please!

Just wondering whether anyone could share what they were asked during their telephone interview, and give any tips about the general format. I have heard they are fairly laid back but I panic none the less!Mine is Wednesday morning at 9am (UK time). xx Julie

I hear they are hot on jaundice in Oz, so have spent the evening swotting up on ABO incompatibility etc. Any obstetric emergency they want to ask me is fine but diabetes and jaundice are not my expertise. As I work in antenatal and labour ward I haven't had to deal with a jaundice baby in a long time!!!!

Had the interview on Wednesday - went well from my side.

 

Thought it might be helpful for others if I shared the content of my specific interview format:

 

Asked to share my experience to date.

 

Given the following scenarios:

 

Management of a P0 with threatened pre term labour

Management of woman in labour with deceleration on CTG

 

Explain how the following relates to your practice:

Occupational Health and Safety

Disability

Equal Opportunities

 

Hope it gives any others an idea of the type of questions posed

Just to let you know had my interview this morning with Armadale hospital and they offered me the post there and then with sponsorship (subject to references). Am elated, sounds like a great place to work, not to big or too small. Head is now spinning with all the things I need to do!
