Guest SPudmassive
Hi guys We made our minds to come to Perth what to do next ? Do we get a emigration company to help us or is it easy enough to do on our own? Any good website to look at? Any tips would greatly appreciated. Hopefully we can have a smooth transition over to Perth . Cheers Graham and Tracy

ali
Some people do manage the whole process on their own, it depends on if your application is going to be complicated (this is where a good agent will be worth their weight in gold). If your application is straight forward and you know what visa you're going for etc., then it is possible to do things on your own. As Yorkshire Pudding says, do make sure that any agent is registered, I know some will have a free 15 min chat to discuss visa options

yorkshirepudding
I would take advantage of a agents free 15 min telephone consultation, let them explain the process and the stages, take notes and have a list if questions ready then you can decide if you can do it alone. For skills they were worth there wait in gold, getting SS well I was having to go SA at the time biggest waste of money ever, this time I went alone for my WA SS, but using then for my diac app. I know a lot of people who have gone it alone, if your stuck forums like this are invaluable for getting help and advice. First things first though check your on the sol if not check each states SMP. Then find out your occupations skills assessing body and start your skills assessment. You may need Ielts, check this out and do ASAP Once you have both of these get your SS Then it's visa app to diac. You will find your Ielts score on the sol/SMP it's the last number. If you have a uk passport you have a 6 or 6.5, if it's a min 7 you need to sit it
