Guest Tigger69
Hi all. Tigger's back . Been busy organising things since getting the visa, sooooooo much to sort out:shocked:. Progress so far, flights booked, house sold, decided on shipping company, 1 night stay in hotel at Heathrow, a rental for a week in Perth, a 6 week rental in Rockingham and have emptied 1 cupboard. Also have advertised items on an auction site and realised that people want to buy everything for nothing. I would rather give things away, for instance some cheeky sod offering me £50 for a £400 tent . Other than that everything appears to running smoothly:unsure:. Anybody got any advice on pensions as I haven't the foggiest?
phil
Nearly sorted then! For pension stuff, I didn't have a lot of time to sort it out before I left. What I did was contact my pension companies and get all correspondence sent to a trusted relative for onward forwarding to here. Once in Perth, I've hooked up with a recommended financial adviser dude who's supposedly putting together a whole set of recommendations for us (but I need to chase him as I've just realised I've not heard from him in a few weeks). Guest Tigger69
I would rather sort the pensions out before we go, it would make me feel better:err:. We did discuss bringing a tent with us, but as we have 3 types of tents the one we actually wanted to bring doesn't have a built in ground sheet We didn't think that this would be very suitable for camping (creepy crawlies and such like). The one that would be best suited for Oz, we just don't like it.

You can buy bedrooms which go inside your tent with a built in groundsheet, we did this with a huge frame tent we had years ago
Guest Tigger69
The bedrooms in the tent have built in ground sheets, but would prefer to have it in the whole of the tent
