Hi I've recently moved to Perth from Brisbane where I've been for 2 yrs (originally from Plymouth). Hubby works FIFO so kinda hoping to meet a few more peeps in the same situation. Miss my girlies back home and want to see more of Perth. Am in the wrong end of my 20's (just!) No kids, just a naughty beagle :)

Hi Ellie,

I am on the wrong end of my 40's. My hubby and I are leaving our two children behind at university. I know I may be too old but I do have a beagle that will be coming along with us. He won't arrive to Byford until December 9 so he won't be out of jail until January. If your dog likes to play as much as ours I would love to have a "play date."

Hi Ellie,

I am 30, so not to far ahead of you it seems. I will be moving to Perth in a few days to join my husband who moved there for a job a couple of months ago and I stayed back to sort shipping etc. We have no kids and just want to meet new people and go out socialising. Give me a shout if you want to meet up sometime, am happy to have a girlie chat and some wine :-)

Hi Cheryl

I take Dudley (my beagle) to the dog park in Whitemans Park quite a lot - do you know it? Love it there, always loads of people (and dogs of course!). Due to the limited amount of dog parks in Perth most people travel from afar to get there and stay for a while. Bet you can't wait to have your doggie - how did he go on the flight?

Is your beagle as naughty as mine? :err:

Sounds good Amy! I'm also very close to the city and would love to go for a drink sometime. Maybe we should all arrange a meet up!

Are you working in Perth also? Sounds like your partner is very busy! :)

Hi Ellie, I'm moving to Perth in January with my husband an 2 year old daughter and my hubby will be working FIFO. I'd love to meet some people when we get there and we're staying in the CBD for the 1st 6 weeks while we look for somewhere to live. Also I'm due to hid the big 30 at the end of Feb and am hoping to have a few friends to celebrate it with! ;-)

Hiya, everything seems to be happening so quickly all of a sudden and after ages of researching it all seems very real now! Flights are booked and movers are arranged so we have dates to work to now. Hubby got offered a job so we're coming over on a 457 visa and I guess we'll see how things go. Where abouts are you living in Perth? We've been looking at the coast, possibly just south of the river, as the novelty of a beautiful beach on the doorstep is just too tempting! :-)

How exciting - not long now then? We're living in Rivervale. We thought about Freo before we moved but I work in Kewdale and I'm constantly picking up/dropping hubby off at the airport so where we are it's perfect. Love it here - so close to the city and the river and only 15min drive to Trigg beach which is beautiful. Do you have any friends / family in Perth? :)

I'm living in Rivervale - love being so close to the city / airport / work / river but defo miss the beach a bit. Luckily its a 15 min drive to Trigg which is beautiful. We looked in Freo, Cot, Subi, well practically everywhere but nothing came close to the house we're in now, just love it. Some of the houses we looked at for the same price were just ridiculous - one had a gap between the floorboards and the walls so you could see outside!! Everywhere is pretty close in Perth though - doesn't take long to get around. Bet you can't wait to come over - should be hot then. Are you leaving a lot of family / friends behind?

Hi Girls,

I'll add to the growing list of girlies looking to meet friends. Living in Morley so close enough to the city centre for nights out with wine  or coffee's and chats.

I don't have a beagle but I do have a boxer and german shepard X who are getting released from quarantine tomorrow - YAY.
