Does anyone know when he is eligible for Kindy? and if not now how much does it cost to send him to daycare? as I am looking to work once I arrive. Guest Beth101 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 Hi, If he turned 3 before July 1st, he will be eligible for a place at kindy in Feb 2012. However if he turned 3 on or after 1st July 2011, he will not start kindy until Feb 2013. Kindy is usually 2 days a week, similar hours to school hours. I have a couple of friends who use daycare, costs around $90 a day, obviously varies depending on daycare centre. But have a look at the centrelink pages as you may be eligable for the 'childcare rebate' which can rebate up to 50% of your childcare costs.
