Guest chezzle
Just wondered how many of you used an agent for your visa application? Hubby is going for his IELTS test this week, then we need to send off his Skills Assessment application, apply for state sponsorship and then apply for a GSM Visa. Just wondered how easy the whole process is and if you would reccommmend using an agent or doing it yourself?
Druid
I would use a reputable knowledgable agent, I can highly reccommend Gomatilda, they have specialist people in the Uk and Aus, the thing with an agent is they know all the ins and outs, they will even advise and help on the skills assesment, if you are doing TRA you will need help, TRA is a nightmare, I used an agent in the North of England, found out they were a total waste of time and money, I had to throw that money down the drain and sign up with Gomatilda, glad I did. Good luck
Guest Clarebear
We had an agent who was useless, Mick Breen Destination OZ. Don't use him he gave us wrong information! I have heard great things about Gomatilda though, if it seems cheap don't use the agent that's the mistake we made, may as well have flushed the money away. Ended up doing it ourselves. Good luck! It seems like an impossible task but you'll get there x:swoon:
JaynBev
We used Hannibal Khoury @ Thames Migration and they were brilliant. They kept use informed quickly and also were understanding when we pestered them with silly questions.

Unbelievable support and professional help. Always there when you needed him nothing was too much to ask for even if it was a daft question! I havnt heard of anybody have a bad experience with mick and would recommend his services to anybody !! From start to finish he got me a 189 visa granted in 9 months! Great guy and and great service at destination OZ!
lenthebushmanemmins
Mick helped me gain my visa last year and I can't recommend him enough. It was around 8 months from initial phone call to visa grant and I couldn't have done it without the professional and knowledgeable help from Mick. Without his help the visa process can very easily overcome people, and Mick helps you get everything in the right order with the right content at the right time, and it leads to a visa grant for a very reasonable amount of money. I highly recommend Mick Breen, destination oz ltd and I will endeavour to send more clients in that direction. Russell love
We had an agent who was useless, Mick Breen Destination OZ. Don't use him he gave us wrong information! I have heard great things about Gomatilda though, if it seems cheap don't use the agent that's the mistake we made, may as well have flushed the money away. Ended up doing it ourselves. Good luck! We looked at and spoke to a lot of options and agents before deciding to use Mick Breen. We could not fault him in any way. Always gave us good advise, was totally up front and always answered or returned calls and emails. We would and have recommended Mick to anyone planning the move over to OZ. I suppose the proofs in the pudding as I am writing this from my new home in Melbourne. Good on you Mick Breen. She'll be right mate

Alan Collett
With due respect to the several first time posters who are resurrecting a post from several years ago, recommendations on forums such as this really ought to be for registered migration agents, who are required to adhere to a Code of Conduct, who maintain their professional competencies through ongoing CPD, and who maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance for those unfortunate occasions when an aggrieved client has a need to revert to litigation. Best regards.

lenthebushmanemmins
Alan Collet, I was recommended to Mick Breen at Destination Oz by my brother who gained his PR visa with Mick’s help and he and his family are now living in WA. He was also recommended to Mick by someone who had gained their PR with him. I spoke to a lot of agents before settling for Mick – it was his knowledge and years of experience and customer service that I liked. I now have my 189 visa – so that is what matters in my opinion. Personal recommendation from successful people is much more important and as far as I know you cannot be a registered agent if you are not an Australian anyway. I have recommended Mick and will continue to do so – top man!

Whilst PP isn't any incredibly busy site, I'll be honest and say that as a moderator for many years, I do find it a little suspicious that first time posters have suddenly decided to join and found this particular thread. To our members,my own advice is to always use a registered migration agent.

ali
Maybe they have forgotten their login details?! Perhaps they have .. but generally old members will mention it. Too many years moderating PP and PIO may have made me cynical.
Rossmoyne
Maybe they have forgotten their login details?! If you forget your login details, there is a facility on the login page to request a password change..... Like Ali I have been moderating and on this and PIO for too long not to be sceptical.
