Guest The.Lawcants
Hi All Just wanted to know if the lake is just for looking at or does it get used for other activities like sailing etc... yours Jane & Co
Guest Rovers fan
Hi Jane & co, the lake has a tendancy to dry up over the summer on some years. There are also a lot of mossies around it too so it is mainly for looking at. One year a helicopter crashed into the lake as they were spraying the mossies - no one was seriously hurt fortunately. Guest Bobcat
It is Blackburn - my home town. There is another Rovers other than Bristol as well, and that is Raith, but their Scottish I know your Rovers very well as i virtually served my apprenticeship working on Blackburn Cathedral and the old town hall prior to them putting up that monstrosity of a tower right next to it. I used to visit Ewood Park every second Saturday when North End were playing away long distance. Back in the good old days when Lancashire teams ruled the roost in football and Rovers had the likes of Ronnie Clayton as captain, the 'Doug' up front and proper wingers, Harry Leyland in goal and from memory i think you bought Fred Else off us at Deepdale?
