Guest Billy
I'm a Possie, I have a daughter who is 21 and is looking to travel in Europe. I thought she could apply for a UK passport as I hold one, however, looking at the list of a bazillion criteria for applying for one it seems she is not eligible for one due to reasons which seem sexist! Born outside the UK, father registered or naturalised as a British citizen in UK She was born outside the UK but I am registered, her mother (1966) as a British citizen. Tell me it aint so...where's my bra...
Gollywobbler
Hello Billy Unfortuantely I hardly ever visit PerthPoms. Hopefully by now you have resolved your query. Your daugher is British as well as Australian. Be in no doubt about this. My sister was born in the UK but now holds British/Australian dual Citizenship. Her husband holds dual Kiwi/Australian Citizenship. Neil does not have British Citizenship and has never even been to the UK. My two nephews (their children) were both born in Perth, WA. Both have Australian and British passports because they are - via their mother - British by descent. It is the same for your daughter and the Britaus site seems to be out of date, frankly!
