Guest enviromaz
Hi everyone, My name is Maria and I'm from the West Mids. My husband and I applied for our visa last July and as yet are still waiting for a case officer to be assigned to us. Does it usually take this long and has anyone heard of a company called Syncronicity one? Any info greatly appreciated. Maria:)

Kind regards Karen & Co Hi Karen & Co Thanks for answering so quickly. We applied for a 136 July last year and at the mo have only been given a number. Your right it is frustrating. My husband (Paul) and I have three "kids", Michael (17), Heather (15) and Luke (21) but Luke won't be joining us. We are hoping to move to the Quinns rocks/Yanchep area as we fell for the place when we visited friends last year. Though from looking on the internet rent seems to be really high throughout Perth. What area did you move too? Maria

We're just about to put the house on the market and hopefully get it sold before we have to validate, which is by 30 September. We'll go and validate in the summer if the market seems flat although I really don't want the hassle and cost of doing a validation trip The area we'll start off in is Rockingham as Ashley's relatives live there, we'll rent somewhere for a while once we've driven around areas and checked out schools etc. Keep in touch, let me know when your visas have arrived Karen

Maria:) HI My name is Paul, we got our 136 app lodged on 27 august 07 and await a case officer also, we have an acknowledgement and receipt. It seems to be taking longer , weve been told , because of the higher english exam they brought in on the 1st september....basically the whole world applied in july/august to dodge it = huge backlog..we are in same boat. cheers Paul the conehead
Guest enviromaz
Hi Paul Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one still waiting to get a case officer - was beginning to think the agent may have run off with my money . If I hear anything I'll let you know. Guest Lainey
Hi Maria, I know it's frustrating but once you get here it's worth the wait! We moved here 5yrs ago & in total it took us approx 18 months. We live in the Northern suburbs (Ocean Reef) & I remember thinking we would never get here! Just try & be patient! lainey
Guest enviromaz
Hi lainey I know I can't do anything at the moment and thats the frustrating part, but your right it will be worth it. Ocean Reef isn't far from Quinns rocks is it? Maria
Guest Lainey
Hi Maria, It's no far away at all approx 10min drive. Quinns is a nice spot you're near to everything! What are the kids thinking of the move? Lainey
Guest enviromaz
Hi Lainey I'm only bringing my two younger kids as the oldest has his own family. Michael seems ok with it and quite looking forward to it in fact. Heather doesn't seem to be able to make her mind up though. One minute she seems happy enough, and the next she is crying and saying she wants to stay here. We have friends that moved to Quinns 9 years ago and Heather is very friendly with their daughter. Georgie is younger than Ellie though and to be honest I'm worried that she won't settle. Even more so because I might need to move closer to the city because of my job. Have you got kids? Guest Lainey
Hi Maria, yes I've got 2 age 13 & 9, they were no problem though as we came over 5yrs ago so they were to young to really understand. Just tell Heather the guys look better over here with their suntans I'm sure that will cheer her up ha-ha. I wouldn't worry about having to go nearer the city the freeway's currently being extended further North not quite sure where it will end though! Also the public transport system into the city is really good. Lainey
Guest enviromaz
Thanks Lainey Don't think the "guys with sun tans" will work though as we have been over several times and she always complains they are not fit enough lol.
