urgent advice needed

Hi everyone :D

My medicals are booked for June 4th but I'm really worried and could do with some advice please. Last september I lost the use of my left leg for 2 weeks. Whilst the feeling came back allowing me to walk again, I was still in a lot of pain and my doc sent me to see a specialist at the local hospital. I had an MRI scan and he diagnosed sciatica and a prolapsed disc, then sent a letter to a spinal specialist requesting he see me urgently. 4 months later I am still waiting for the appointment!! However, I now have no symptoms and I'm back normal (well as normal as I can be lol). I am going to cancel the appointment (doc said that is OK) but not sure if this will be a problem for the medical. Should I just put down about the sciatica because the prolapsed disc was never confirmed, and is it likely that the visa will be denied because of it?

Hi

Well I'm no medical specialist but any questions the doc asks you at your medical I would advise you to tell the absolute truth!! However if they don't ask, then don't mention it. At the end of the day IF your visa is granted & you live in Oz then you are hopefully aware that there's no free NHS & all will cost you. Hope this helps.

Regards

Jules

Hi Jules

Sorry if I gave the impression that I was going to lie to try and get through the meds. I wouldn't - that would be pointless and stupid. I did manage to contact someone about it though, and have been told that it is unlikely to be a problem (though not guaranteed) but they may ask for more info from my doctor.

Thanks anyway
