Guest carlymac
Hi Suzy Thanks for your reply, we are applying for a skilled Migrant Visa, my husband has applied for a job and hoping to hear from them this week and get sponsorship, they are coming over to our city this week to interview but if that fails we will be paying for a company to help us, we have sent our details off to them, just waiting on this one job. Whereabouts in Perth are you living? I have looked at Bull Creek area, it looks good for schools
Guest suzy+1
Hi, im in shenton park which is just west of perth city. Have you told the rest of the family about the move yet? The waiting can be quite hard-but i think its worth it once you are here. And if you end up here Jan time will be very hot (if you like the heat), we soon got used to it. Guest carlymac
I have told my family, they are upset but understand. I see you have a 3 year old like me, do you go to lots of groups? Does your little one go to kindi? Have you left lots of people behind? I think thats the hardest bit for me, leaving friends and family. How long did you have to wait? Do you work? Hope you don't mind me asking so many questions ... I am trying to find the best area to move and really am not sure where to go....What made you choose your area? I have said Jan but I have no idea when we will come the sooner the better.
Guest suzy+1
Hi, ask away! i dont mind at all. I work full time as a nurse (night shifts) my daughter goes to day care 3 times a week. She has also joined ballet on a saturday morning and loves it, there are playgroups and things but too busy doing all the tourist things to join them yet! There are so many huge parks everywhere-she loves it, and of course with the weather being better we can go out more. There are so many places to take children for days out-alot more family orientated place. We live with a uni student who has free rent in return for babysitting over night while i work-thats working out really well at the moment. Im renting a 2 bedroom unit west perth-chose there because i wanted to be close to work and not have to worry about commuting, it was also one of the rare places that came up at the time that was fully furnished. It is in a nice area. I came on a 457 sponsored visa, its hould have taken 2-3 months but due to having to apply and change passports and then having an incompetent doctors surgery do our medical s(they took 2 months to get results back and send off!) it took longer. But we are finally here! I have recently bought an old car just to get A to B with-its a god send! I left behind a big family who were heartbroken especially as i have taken the one and only grandchild away! (apparently mum cries when she looks at our pictures on the internet), even had a big arguement with my dad before we left as he said i was being selfish-it was not all plain sailing but they have all come round to the idea in time. I have my brother visiting in oct-only for 4 days then he is off to the east coast holidaying! I dont know what my future plans are yet, im hoping to make some friends here soon, i may stay for 18 months then go back or stay forever i dont know-just taking it a month at a time but really enjoying it so far! Hope to make a trip back maybe march time for a few weeks. Keep in touch and hopefully we can meet up once you come out!
Guest carlymac
I want to be a nurse, I was going to train before we moved but I thought it would be easier for the children the younger they are. We are young parents so I havent had the chance yet to train in my career, especially with 3 under 5, they keep me busy. My family have been brilliant, my parents have 7 grandchildren and have already said they will visit every year, so I will see them lots. It seems so much more family orientated which my husband and I love the sound of. Its just finding the right area to move to. Do you have MSN? I would love to meet up once I move over!!! Hopefully that wont be to long away. x:Rofl:

Guest carlymac
I have added you on my hotmail now, did you get a request? We are very excited, just wish we could go now but the whole process takes so long, I have no idea how long it will be..I asked the migration company to make it as fast as possible. Can I ask you another quesion? What is a decent wage in Perth? I have no idea, want to make sure we take the right job with the right amount of money. Hopefully catch you on MSN soon. xx:D
