Guest debbiedavo67
Hi we live in Butler atm and as lorna said it is a little further north tham most but there is soon to be a rail link and freeway so travellin into the city will be a little easier. i have heard clarkson is a little rough especially their high school ( of which butler has its own primarys which are supposed to be good, and in the next year or so will have a brand new high school, but all in all apart from clarkson the others seem to have a good reputation ) banksia grove has its good and bad as lorna said so if u just check it out first then u shud be ok, u are closer to the big shopping city but u are further from the beach and havin lived in sinagra ( just round the corner from banksia grove ) you dont get the fremantle doctor ( a cooling afternoon breeze ) which comes in handy on the hot days, sometimes it feels a little hotter the more inland you go :-)) Kinross is an older suberb out of the 4 but is lovely, atm it is the closest to getting onto the freeway but the traffic at the rush hours can be quite hectic. schools are good too. If u need anything else just ask im sure we can answer any queries you have ( or know someone who knows ) good luck with ur move, ur gonna love it love debs xx

Lesandkev
hi looking to come over in next 6 months are the rently prices a lot higher in places like mullaloo and hillarys reather than kinross and butler? we stayed in mullaloo last year for 3 weeks and loved it thank for any help Hi, im not sure about mullaloo but rent is more expensive in hillarys compared to kinross and butler. Have a look at http://www.reiwa.com.au as this will give u an idea of prices. Butler seems cheapest but i think this is because its further north and a fairly new suburb. Guest Mrs H
Hi, I had a short term furnished rental in Clarkson and found it fine, very quiet and clean, but however was put of getting a long term rental because of the bad reports I heard regarding the high school, We have finally settled in Mindarie, which is lovely with the Marina, and all the parks, although Ocean Keys shopping centre in Clarkson is only a couple of minutes away. My daughter goes to Kinross College, which she loves, and that area is really nice also, I have actually been looking at buying there as the property in Kinross is really affordable and I have heard good reports about the primary school, which is just across the road from the High School. My advice would be drive around them all, especially at school starting and finishing times and you will get a feel for the place, and dont just go for the 1st thing you see as you might regret it. Hope that helps Mrs H
Guest guest1337
I've heard people in Butler are mostly stuck-up! Doesn't make it true? Or does it? At the end of the day listen to peoples opinions for sure, but it's your life, your money, so do your own research and base your decision on that alone, people will hear different things about different places and have different experiences too. Or maybe try statistics, still not going to give you a feeling for an area, statitistically I believe Perth's rainfall is the same as Manchester, but it does feel that way. Good luck, and do what right for you and your family!
Guest EEE
Hi Lesley, We live in Butler, and like most places people will always find something wrong, we like it alot, it has lots of parks for the children, two really good primary schools, we are about 5/10 mins max from clarkson which has a few more shops, or 15 max from joondalup which has a bigger mall(its no Lakeside(uk) but you can get pretty much what you need. House rent ranges from 350 to 550 a week here, best best is to look on http://www.realestate.com.au My son has settled right in, made great friends and is doing amazing at school! Hope this helps

stey74
Hi, We have been living in the Somerly part of Clarkson for the last year and not had any issues. You hear the odd screach of tyres at night in the distant which are idiots racing around wasting money on rubber. My 2 girls went to Clarkson High last year and now my eldest is at Mindarie Senior College this year and middle girl is now in year 9 at Clarkson, both girls doing really well and Jess (middle girl) whos at Clarkson High is getting constant A's. Clarkson High has improved a lot since last year I believe. My youngest is at Somerly Primary and doing well. Can't coment on rest of Clarkson but like I said we havent had any problems where we are.
