Guest Cara&Gav
Hi everyone, I have just found out about this site through Poms in Oz which Ive been a member of for about a year and a half. I was also a member of Poms in Aldelaide as that was where we were originally heading but we then decided to head to Perth instead. We already have our visa's and are hoping to move out end of October this year. We are very lucky that we have friends to stay with when we arrive while we look for jobs and a rental. We are currently working on our flat to get it ready for renting and trying to save some money up! My husband is the one that has the visa as he is a plasterer but like a lot of couples I know I did all the work lol We also have a 6 year old Labrador x Dalmation that is costing us a fortune to sent over but well worth it as we have had her since a puppy and couldnt go without her! Really looking forward to meeting some new friends on here and maybe re-connecting with some old ones that we havent spoken to for a while. Hi Doodlebee, Yes she has to go into quarantine but only for 30 days so not too bad - costing us £800 for the priviledge though lol We are allowed to visit, there's about 3 or 4 visiting slots per week so we'll do that as much as we can and we just have to think of what a great life she'll have when she gets out!
