Not really relevent to anyone but a sad blow I didnt want to hear

I was planning on bringing my cat over who I have spent a great deal of time and effort as well as money trying to get him healthy after he was seriously neglected at the hands of another person. Anyway, he was due to have an operation before we came but the vet told me today that he cant come and if I am travelling to Australia then he has to be put to sleep. They said that if I put him through the operation and then rehome him afterwards then this wouldnt be good for him as the recovery is going to be quite some time, if at all. Such a blow that has took some of the excitement away and left me feeling really guilty.

Really sorry to hear your news, its a heartbreaking situation and sending hugs to your cat too -what an absolute little trooper! If the convalescence is going to be so tough, it sounds as though the decision is being made for you anyway, without the emigration element!
