Guest Donnab76
Looking for a rough estimate of gas and electricity , water rates for a 3/4 bed house in Perth area ...? X
Guest Stu
I pay about $150/month for electric and about $100/month for gas. This amount means I am always in credit, and I just claim back the difference once a year (approx $350 last year I think). Note I don't have aircon so that will obviously add a little bit onto the electric. My landlord pays the water rates but in the last property I think is was about $10 a month. The owner pays the base rate and you just pay for any extra over the allowance.
phil
We pay about the same as Stu, and the gas and electric swap round depending on if it's summer or winter (electric aircon in summer, gas heater in winter). Not sure if it's by design or not, but it does seem that the bills always arrive in different months so there's not a big "hit" at any one time. Guest Donnab76
when you say landlord, I take it this is for rented accommodation? What about a mortgaged property? Thanks in advance?
Guest keith73
Hi I would say try and get a property with solar panels and most of the time the Electricity company owe you money, but agree with the amounts everyone else has mentioned. Cheers
