Guest doodlebee
We aren't there yet but have got it in place for the visa. We chose a basic level at $210 per month.
Guest hoons
I imagine it will depend on the level of cover. I have been quoted $222 a month just for me ... but this is taking into consideration my pre-existing condition (Crohn's Disease)
piccolo
Can I ask at what point you need to do this? We have been nominated on a 457 but haven't heard from employer yet so we can't do our part until we do. We both have preexisting conditions also, will it take longer then? Guest hoons
My employer has told me that something needs to be in place prior to being granted a visa, be it temporary travel insurance (giving time to get proper insurance or medicare on arrival), or private insurance. I've opted to get the private insurance now - although I'm still sorting this out. I'm trying to find out exactly how much my medical treatment will cost over there ... it could potentially be as much as $30k per year, which isn't gonna leave us much spare cash if we make the move!! Don't think the pre-existing conditions will make things take longer though.
