Hi all...

This may seem like a really trivial question among the choas that is getting ready to move.

We are arriving mid april- what is your advice about what clothes to bring with me. I dont have a job at the mo due to coming on OH visa. I will be looking for work and want to work in Early Years- nursery/ childcare sector etc.

What kind of clothes will be ok for interview???

What about when the season changes???

I am trying to get it intot my head I am not going for a holiday but are going for good.

Will my straighteners and hair dryer work there with an adapter

Any advice ladies or gents lol.

Hehe , its a stresser isn't it ? i was the same ... anyhow yup your elecricals will be great :) Weather will be Autumn here but feel like a Uk spring .. cool at night and in the am's could be windy and rainy or could be a warm mid twenties , to be honest it can differ greatly .. so bring some layers , maybe a lightweight jacket , shorts different tops thin long sleeved short sleed etc ( you can also buy a few bits here if needed ) smart interview wear , i always say first impressions are also the best !

Everything is expensive over here! So yes, get down to primark or M&S for your underware before you come. I haven't really bought any clothes from here (the odd bit in the sale or in Harbour Town - Discount Shopping Village) and still get everything shipped over from the UK. The department stores (HoF, Debenhams, John Lewis) and Next and M&S all ship out here to Australia so I find it so much cheaper to still buy from the UK.

We are visiting the UK in 6 weeks and we are taking empty suitcases home to fill them up for our return trip! Thank goodness for Emirates 30kg allowance!
