Mum of toddler hoping to make new friends in Butler area, Perth!

i moved out to Perth 6 weeks ago with husband and 16 month old boy. I'd love to meet other parents with young kids for a coffee/natter, and itd be lovely for my son to make new friends.

 

Im 31 and from Anglesey in North Wales. Hubby works long hours so I have lots of free time, just nobody to see during it.

I'm moving to Perth from Sydney at the beginning of May. I'm originally from Yorkshire and have a 9 month old daughter. I have no idea where Butler is or where we will be living when we get there (we'll be in accommodation provided by my fiances work first of all) but would love to meet up for coffee with the kids sometime.

With an Username like that I knew that you were from Wales!! I moved over here at the End of February and my wife (32) and 10 week old baby boy are coming out over the Easter Weekend to join me. My wife will be looking to meet up and make friends with like minded mothers with young children likes of yourself so I will get her to contact you once she has got over the jet lag. we from port talbot and we living in banksia grove at the moment , god it is nice to know there are some welsh out here every1 i hear from is english or scottish ha ha

Wow a big move then, it's lovely over here and I've been assured its one of the nicest cities in Aus (although I'm not in a position to compare!). It's peaceful and very pretty here- I'm sure you'll love it, especially with a little one.

 

Butler is a the top of the northern sprawl really, the next settled suburb is Yanchep. Keep in touch and it'd be lovely to meet up when you get here - I met another mum on poms in oz last week and it was really nice. It makes you feel a lot more settled when you meet other mums :-)

Hahaha - I tried that username but it was already taken! Congrats on the move - I assume your wife is arriving imminently then? Wow that'll be a hard flight for her, i'd definitely love to meet up with her once she's over the jet lag - as you say we're only round the corner :-). congrats on the job blodyn!!!dont think its meant to rain tomorrow so we could meet at a park?? i luv the one in illuka with the lake, but no toilets which can be a nightmare!! or burns beach is sorta half way for us all and the wee cafe there does coffee?? or if u guys know a nice park in butler id be happy to drive up?

Hello both, there are lots of parks in butler, or we could go to burns beach or iluka (my sense of direction is AWFUL so id need instructions on how to get to either!). Let me know :-)
