Paulr
So England is known as the green and pleasant land, now I've been to Australia twice mostly covered the east coast and found it very green (from memory this might have been QLD) was wondering what it is like Perth side for greenery? Being as WA is the sunshine state is it drier and browner? Paul.

Guest Jamjar
Green in winter not so green in Summer! How not so green in summer?? Are we talking a complete dust bowl??? And does this result in endless cleaning??? Any more info would be great - thanks
verystormy
No, just anything that isn't watered all the time such as some grass will go brown. Perth has a lot of green, even in summer because of watering. Though how long into the future that will be sustainable is anyone's guess
PaulandDeb
Most of the green stuff here is on peoples front and rear gardens, or the local parks/shopping centres etc. As for 'naturally' growing countryside grass it's all bright yellow and bone dry, no rain for ages sees to that. jackboots
Green in the winter and lots of wild flowers etc and then it reverts back to being a desert state , one thing you don't want a lot of grass area's and lots of none native plants as watering is short one day a week ob retic in summer unless your on a bore water system
