fiona
Hi I am flying over on 17th with OH- he is on a 457 visa. I was a nursery manager in the uk, I was wondering if anybody has any ideas how easy it is to find work in the childcare sector. I don't want to work managment any more just looking forward to working with children again. I know I will have to get my certificates verified and obtain a police check - Does anybody know if I have to wait for all the checks before I can look for work. Can anybody recommend any sites etc to look on. Any advice would be great. Thank you Fi:wink:
Scot01
You'll need a working with children card - you get the forms from the post office - and a police check - think those are at the post office to. Turn around is about a week to ten days though if you have just arrived I don't know how they'll sort that out and it'll take longer. http://www.checkwwc.wa.gov.au/checkwwc Loads of job in Child care centres - the West Australian newspaper every Saturday always has loads - there is a shortage so don't think you'll have a problem.
