Guest Ashill's
Hi all, We will be arriving at the end of August and are lucky enough to have some people to care for us over our early days!! David is 15 and will have to endure an extra year of compulsary education, which is an ok exchange for the aussie lifestyle. We are planning on living in the Secret Harbour area and although my husband and son know what they will be doing...... currently I have know idea. I would love to hear from anybody who has or is working with adults with learning disabilities, I am currently working towards a person centred model of service delivery and am intreguied to find out how this operates in the Oz system. I am also available for wine tasting and general frivolity!! ( Also I cannot spell!!) Regards Diane

Guest emi-great
Hi You may be able to find out about working with disabled people via the following site http://www.activ.asn.au/ Activ actually have a place in Rockingham workshops & drop in centre so you may find work there. I have a friend who works for them & she was only telling me at the weekend they are looking for staff. We run a web site which concentrates on the Rockingham/Mandurah area so you may like to check out our topic pages for information & we hold regular meetings locally for new migrants anyone is welcome... we post the dates on our chat forum under local events Hope this helps Eve www.emi-great.com

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Joycek83
