Baggage upgrade from Airline?

Singapore gave us additional allowance for migration flight. There policy at the time was that the paper stamp had to be in the passport (google "diac visa evidencing unit"), but I don't think the check-in staff were too stringent on that. I'd recommend ringing your chosen airline, confirming their policy, then ringing them back a couple of days later and asking the same question just to be sure you get the same answer.

Hello All,

Has anyone got any experience of having their baggage allowance upgraded to 40 kgs for having an emigrant visa? If so, which airline and would the airline charge extra and do you have to provide the airline a copy of your visa?

Thanks

Hi, we are flying out with Quantas at the end of May- if you phone them and book migration flights you automatically get 40 kgs. We got our flights for £589 each and nobody else came close.

Hope it help Jason
