Guest THE ROCCOS
My son Wesley lives in Perth and is a resident, we have over the last 6 years been looking into migration if anyone has had a similar issue to ours we would really welcome some feedback.............. we are in a Defacto relationship resident in the UK my other son also lives independently in the UK and has two children he came out for a holiday but did not want to live here.............. now Tony my partner has two sons again independently living one lives with his girlfriend and the other is at home with his mum at the moment all the boys are nearly 30 years of age.......... why I am writing this post I have looked at the balance of family test and according to that because we have 1 son resident in OZ and three in the UK we do not meet the balance of family test .............. we are both over 45 so can not be sponsored as far as I am aware the balance of family test covers all Visas Recently we had some info about a married couple entering oz on I think a sponsored visa but the male had two younger children who migrated to another country with there mother and I am now confused as I thought they would not of met the balance of family test............. am I missing something any info would be very well received.. Bye for now The Roccos
verystormy
Not aware of any such thing as a balance of family test. There is a last remaining relative visa for cases in which a person in the UK whose entire remaining family is in Oz can apply but the wait list for this and other family visas is 15 years. Are you under 50? As the new rules from July move the age limits to 50. Alternatively there is a retirement visa if you don't mind handing over a large amount of money
Give me a break!
Hi Rocos I would say that would absolutly need to speak with a migration agent, the reputable ones wont charge for your initial advise, lots are good, we used Go Matilda they are fab. At least if you speak to one you will get your answer quickly the reputable ones wont give you false hope. Good luck.
