PomPom
Hi all, Think I'm starting to get the hang of this thanks to all the help everyone on PP has provided so far! My question now is....... The next stage for us will be state sponsorship - what information / documents do I need to be digging out for this stage (as I have trawled through DIAC and WA migration webs and cannot find this info anywhere!) For the visa application (which follows after) I know need the following documents; 1. Evidence of age 2. Valid passport and certified copy of bio data page 3. IELTs 4. Skills assessment 5. Skilled employment history / experience 6. Qualifications evidence 7. State / territory sponsorship 8. Medical 9. Police check 10. Birth certificate 11. Marriage certificate 12. Decree absolute 13. Two recent passport photos HELP, pretty please with cherries on top
Chardy
For WA SS I think it is just Skills assess and CV but you can start the application on line then save and come back to it to see what they are asking for.

This will be a starting point for you though http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/176_checklist.pdf Remember you are paying your agent to guide you though, so dont be afraid to ask for their assistance, that is what they are there for! Good luck
PomPom
This is where I am slightly frustrated as my Agent doesn't want to tell me what to collate for the next stage until we have received my OH's General IELTs results. I can understand from her perspective but I am also concious of 1st July. It seems pointless me sitting here twiddling my thumbs when I could be getting on with something! I have just read your link, thank you so very much for this. I now know what I can be getting on with for now and I need to call my solicitor friend and get her to certify a number of documents.... this will keep me occupied for a bit. IELTs results come out this Friday - fingers crossed.

I hassle my guys for all their docs as soon as they sign up with me as I hate leaving things to the last minute! Have you checked that the assessing body is guaranteeing your assessment back before 1st July as now many of the bodies are saying they wont be able to complete them before July??? ICA is a great one as they do a 5 day skills assessment so if you are an accountant you are fine!!! Hope you score well on your IELTS!! Let us all know, hopefully 8.5's all over! PomPom
Bloody hell, maybe in hindsight I should have used you. So pleased about ICAA, as my OH is a qualified accountant and that is who the skills assessment has been sent of to (sent last Friday by courier from the agent aparently). So am I assuming that we could hear back from them by the end of this week at the same time as we get our IELTs results - that would be fantastic!! chandi
Hi, The State Sponsorship is really easy because you have reference numbers from the IELTS and the Skills Assessment so you just enter that. I can't remember everything but we completed it online and it was very easy
PomPom
Chandi, Thank you so much. Ah well, roll on Friday (IELTs results) and lets hope ICAA are working to the 5 day timeframe (as hopefully we'll her back from that also by the end of this week). New Life Down Under
Chandi, Thank you so much. Ah well, roll on Friday (IELTs results) and lets hope ICAA are working to the 5 day timeframe (as hopefully we'll her back from that also by the end of this week). Hi PomPOm The five day is only available to migration agents if you pay the higher fee, so I hope you did!
PomPom
Chandi, great news! My oh got 8.5, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0. A fantastic result, I am so proud of him. New life down under, yes we paid the extra through a migration agent. Skills assessment submitted last Friday, they came back to the agent with a query Wednesday. Agent responded Thursday, nothing back today so guess it'll be Tuesday at the earliest before we hear anything. It's so frustrating when it's out of your control. chandi
Really pleased to hear that and he did very well. It also really good that they have come back with questions regarding the skills assessment - just keep nagging to get it all through and the visa logged. PomPom
Hi Chandi, I assume nagging the migration agent is the norm? On the other hand I don't want to piss them off, but guess I've got to think of us and what's in our interest. Thanks again for keeping in touch. Until the next episode LOL!
