Guest ian s 82
Hi Me and my wife are trying to get a visa to stay in Perth, I'm 30 and the wife is a young 28!. I'm going to apply for a independent migrant visa subclass 175, I'm a joiner with 14 year experience and manage my own construction company and my wife is a photographer. We have the 1 year holiday & working visa which will allow us to travel out next April and hope within that year we get our 175 visa. Do you think this is a good idea?? Do you need to be under 31 when entering Australia with the 1 year visa or just when i'm applying for it?? Also I was going to search for a sponsor but I'v heard that they are hard to come by unless i'm out in Perth already! Do you think there is much work out there in the Joinery & carpentry?? Cant be worse than Glasgow!!!! Thanks for all your help. Thank you!!
verystormy
It is close to impossible for joiners to get sponsorship as trades here tend to be contractors / self employed. Don't know the rule on WHV check out the immi web site
