Guest KimandGary
Hi - just seen your post and think I might be able to help!! We are being processed at the moment, going with the Business Owners visa - mainly because my OH is over 50 (just!) and also because he didn't want to be a plumber over there anyway! I started off trying to get the sponsorship on our own, but didn't reallyhave a clue about business plans, cashflow forecasts, trading projections (apparently v important to the SBDC) etc. I was pointed in the direction of Hermann Steeger, a Business Consultant in Perth. He was brilliant! He took the whole thing from us and we just had to supply various paperwork and answer some questions. He provided us with a Business Plan and Trading and Cashflow projection spreadsheet and our business has now been sponsored! We are just waiting for the actual visa to be approved now. Hermann told me that if he doesn't think you will get your sponsorship, he wont take on your case, so you wouldn't be losing out on any money. He charged us $1,800, half up front, half when you get the visa. His number is 00 61 411 766 505 - email is steeger@iinet.com.au. Hope this helps! Guest steve62
Hi Kim&Gary , Thank's for the reply i'd almost given up on anyone answering, We actually submited the sponsorship applicator a few week's ago , after spending day's trawling through the internet for Cashflow , Projected Forcast's like you'self's, Hermann Steeger would have been very handy . We are also trieng the Business Owner's Visa because of my age (46). So we will have to sit tight and hope for the best , From what i understand once you have got the sponsorship you will sail through the B/O Visa application . Just out of interest How much money did you send in with you're appication ?? . Thank's again and all the best . Steve
Guest KimandGary
The agent is costing a fortune - butI figured it was worth it for peace of mind and getting or not getting the visa! That is about £4k, paid in 3 tranches. The actual payment to the government was A$2,800. I heard that the visa was just red tape once you have sponsorship too - but I dont like to think about it in case I jinx it!!! hahaha! Good luck with your visa - might bump into you all one day! Guest steve62
Yes the agent's do cost a bit , this is the second time we have done our own visa application , the first one was easier to fillout (and it was granted but we allowed it to lapse) the sponsorship form was very hard work but you could easily do the visa form's with the info you have in the sponsorship form and a milliom copy's of passport's etc. Good luck hope it goe's well for you Regard's Steve

Guest steve62
Congratulation's you're mile's ahead of us, Is that a normal time frame to getting the visa through ? What do you plan on doing when you get over there? Hope it goes ok for you . Regard's Steve
Guest KimandGary
Yes, our sponsorship came through quickly too. Our visa was lodged on 15th August and we have just had a request for additional info from Perth. Our agent says that once they request your police and meds, then you are home and dry! Congratulations! Where are you hoping to live?
