Guest harrybobin
Hello I'm so nervous, after applying for several mental health jobs in Perth I have finally got 2 telephone interviews next week!!!!! I have only had 2 jobs since qualifying and my first was where I did my last placement as a student so the managers who interviewed me knew my capabilities and my second job was through option forms so didn't have a formal interview which is a good job as I totally panic and freak out at things like interviews. Any advice or tips would be gratefully recieved. Also any idea what questions I may be asked?? I have my head in a load of WA legislation as I'm writing this. Thanks so much Claire
ali
What's the post you've applied for and what's the selection criteria ... that will give you an indication of what they're going to asking about?
Guest harrybobin
Hi Ali The post is for a registered mental health nurse for an older adult inpatient unit at Shenton Park. The selection criteria asks about evidence based practice, using problem orientated approaches, my communication skills and legislation. Also stuff on continuous quality improvement process, managing changes in the clinical environment and knowledge of the disability services. Do you think they will expect me to be an expert on the legislation?
