Guest Little Miss Sunshine
Just wanted to share this with PP...for the first time today i have discovered Skype:jiggy:and im incredibly excited about it!! I think im going to sound a bit mad, but i cant believe the difference it makes getting to see peoples faces and having such a clear conversation rather than just on the phone, it really makes you feel so much more connected. I highly recommend it to anyone who has not got it and if they can, download it, as i think it would make such a difference especially when were so far away from home and for friends and family here in the UK! I have actually taught my mum today how to use my laptop, switch it on (shes not technology savvy at all) and she managed to load skype and use video call after a few/many goes...i genuinley cant beleive it that shes done it with ease and neither can she lol! Deffinatley feeling quite emotional about it coz now i can have another way of commuincating with her and not just over the phone, which without Skype thats all we would of been able to do really, and now we get to see each other and the best bit its FREE!!!!!! JAK
We use Skype to keep in touch with my family in Australia it does make a big difference being able to see them! I watched someone using it on TV a couple of weeks ago, they were in Australia and she was opening her Christmas presents with her mum who was back in the UK and using Skype and then suddenly realised that is what we will be doing this year! I didnt realise that you could learn greek over Skype aswell Elfie! Honeslty im just totally amazed by it!! Before long it will probably seem 'normal' but none of this rollercoaster is 'normal' to me at the min! Feel like im at the top of a huge rollercoaster waitng to go down that big huge drop, where just before you get butterflies in your stomach before you tip right over the edge lol!!! TheRocks
We have been using skype for around 6 years. We started using it when we moved to NZ. The time difference for NZ to the Ire is alot better then here as its 12/13 hours so I used to talk to them every morning. I got pregnant with my first baby not long after we arrived and they watched the bump getting bigger made them feel a part of it. My 2 boys have grown up on skype so much so that the younger one yell nana every time he sees the laptop. My brother was here at easter with his iPad and my mum has an ipad and it was alot clearer then skype.

As this is all new, Skype is just another new and exciting part of our adventure and it really is/will be my new best friend lol x We have been using skype for around 6 years.
