We've decided to go with Crown. Just waiting to exchange on our house then we'll make the call !! I've read many posts on this and its pretty even with Crown and John Mason, not too sure on PSS. I think it normally boils down to cost and the feel you get from the rep. So far Crown have been great with us plus i like the fact they are also based in Perth not like some other shippers. Good luck :)

We used John Mason (didn't have crown come round for a quote). The guy who called round was the more profession, he didn't estimate what we would take, he went around and asked us to point out everything even looking in the loft. The quote was itemised, were PSS said we had 4 bikes (we had 2 etc.,). If you say, such a company charged this (and show them your other quote) they may reduce their price. Packing and delivery - couldn't fault

John Masons deal with a company in Perth called Wridgeways who were also fantastic, very helpful with my queries and re-assembled any items that I wanted (as they'd disassembled them to go on the container).

Couldn't fault them.

We used Crown and they were pretty good, a couple of items did get damages & one package got lost but we submitted a claim and they did not quibble, it was paid into our bank account within 24hours which stunned us.

Again like Ali says we had a full itemised shipping list at quote stage and the price we paid was within a few pounds even though we changed some items ourselves during the months from the quote to collection.

We went with PSS, they were fantastic and reasonable priced, Pickfords wanted a 40Ft & a 20Ft container, PSS quoted on a 40ft high cube and came in thousands cheaper, unfortunately I dont rate the Perth PSS agent, and if I had known sooner I would have gone with someone else, a lot of our stuff was damaged, I dont think it was during the pack because I watched them wrap, pack and load everything, it was done with an extreme amount of care and consideration, but when our stuff was delivered it was 'loosly packed into 2 x 20 ft containers, I think the damage happened at this end when the 40ft container was unloaded, AQIS inspected and the 20footers were then loaded for delivery, I did tell them about all the damage but the impression I got was tough ****, claim it off your insurance, well I didnt insure every piece, I only only insured selected items or it would have cost thousands in insurance.

Its a shame really because PSS in the UK were brilliant, only to be let down by the Aus agent.
