poppops
Hi can anyone tell me how long it took for a CO to contact them once the application went it? thanks
Guest Sammyj
Hi, Our 176 visa was granted pretty quickly. We lodged out application in June 11, July 11 we were asked to go and get medicals and provide police clearance and in Aug 11 we got our 176 visa granted. Our migration agent told us we were quite quick as he had told us it would take up to 12 mths to process our application. They normally post processing times on the immigration website. Hope this helps.
Guest Shelly23
Hi can anyone tell me how long it took for a CO to contact them once the application went it? thanks Hi poppops, CO allocation can vary from a few days to 4-5 weeks. Ours was 2 weeks, have a look at sister site www.pomsinoz.com there are dedicated thread for each months application, so if you applied in May you'll be in our gang, otherwise the June one is up and running. They have been really helpful, and exciting watching everyone receive their grants. Good luck:biggrin:
Guest allagras
Hi We originaly lodged our application on 15 March, and received an email from CO re medicals & PCCs a month later. However I don't think that is a hard and fast rule - I guess it's dependant on the CO, workload, priority processing facotrs (which I don't really understand but they are on DIAC website). r u lodging online? if so, I'd keep an eye on the status of the application. I'd imagine the times might be a bit all over the place at the mo cos of SkillSelect starting up, but I'm not sure. Sorry that isn't much help but i'd say up to a onth between lodging and hearing back from the CO..?
phil
Don't forget it's "all change" time again at DIAC. So who knows what sort of state they're in internally as they adjust to the new rules.

Guest LadyW
Hi We had our CO within 4 weeks and requested meds and police checks. PIO thread states about 2 weeks from satisfactiory meds and PCC's before getting a visa. Hope this helps Lisa x
