Guest guest1228
Hi Rach, welcome to Perth Poms. My name is Fiona and I too am a nurse. I have a job at the Royal Perth Hospital in the oncology dept. I start in Jan 09. There are quite a few hospitals in Perth with vacancies such as Sir Charles Gairdner (near city, Royal Perth (also in middle of city) St John of God, (Just out of city i think) Also several private hospitals mostly run by Ramsey health. I have found the Royal Perth quickest to deal with . I would say your best bet is to google hospitals in Perth and start sending off your CV. Are you a general nurse? Seems to be most opportunities for adult nurses. Cant help with English test sorry. What visa are you going for. We have gone for the 457 for cost and time reasons. Hope this helps, Fiona x
ali
As Fiona says, google hospitals and send off your cv as an expression of interest. I stuck to the skilled PR visa route, which took about 7 months, in part the reason for this is that on a temporary visa I don't think you're covered with medicare and with 2 children I envisaged some trips to the doctors ... having said that not one for them, but 3 for me. At $57 per GP appointment, I'm glad i've got PR status as it means that I get some of that back. Ali
