Guest Kym_and_James
That seems a bit excessive. When shopping at Woolies/Coles my partner and I spend about $120-150/week. Now we are more thrifty and shop at a growers market and do a big butcher buy every few weeks and we spend $50 in a cheap week and $100 in a big week. Hope this helps. Oh but I am sure you could spend that amount ($265) in your first week getting your pantry and laundry stocked.
Guest emi-great
I really feel that everyone shops differently & once you get here you will find places to buy the basics at good prices. Coles & Woolworths are fairly expensive I find & the local IGA (independant growers) markets are much cheaper. When you arrive you need to look around for a while before you find your best place to shop, even then if you are like me you will have to go different places just for the change! I have to admit though the cost of food has risen sharply here in the past year Eve www.emi-great.com
