I am guessing thats a no?!

Sorry just pmed you the same message by mistake

Have you tried Gumtree, I know there was few advertised on there, also seek. Is he on Linkedin also, it is like a facebook for professionals. I am a site manager and I have used it to make a few contacts in Perth, you can find out the names of different companies also. Good luck, I am over in January, so if I hear of anything I will let you know.

Well the carpenter situation in Perth seem useless even though they are building everywhere. My husband has tried every website, construction site and phone number known to man and still nothing.

Hi Lisa, i notice it's been a while since you last was on here, just wanted to check how long it took your husband to find work where you are (Perth)? My OH is also a carpenter and worried that it might take a while for him as well. Also what channel did he had to go through to get work??

Try not to worry. I arrived in October and found work the day after I arrived. tons and tons of work happening. I would recommend moving NOR as most of the work is there or in the city. loads of company's in wangara. If you want to work you will find it no problem.

Wow Lee, that was very quick! but we would like to be living more the Secret harbour or the Baldivis area, would where you say gonna be too far to commute? or would we def have to live more that end. Hoping my OH will be as lucky as you in finding work and maybe you could line him up when time comes :biglaugh:

Hi Lee mind if I join in on this. I'm looking to come over in the summer (June/July). I'm a carpenter and again the same as everyone else just wondered what the state of play is regarding work, if there's enough for everyone, and also what of the "impending economic crash" I keep reading about. Do you think there's any truth to it or is just economists sticking their opinion on websites everywhere. Any info greatly appreciated! Cheers. Dan

Hi,

We are also coming over in July to the baldivis area hopefully and my husband is a carpenter also with 10+ years experience. If you hear of anything or have any contacts we would also be very grateful.

Thanks
