The Brownsx5
Hi well we finally made it, what a week:wacko: We have been to Coles for our food shopping and have bought some of their own brands & it's not that badly priced. I think it's a case of learning where is best for certain things, I don't think shopping can be all done in one shop, you have to learn to shop around Biggest problem for us was having no phones or Internet to let friends & family know we were safe & sound and using O2 was expensive. Sim card from local supermarket needs ID, vodafone was the cheapest and will get you started. We also got a prepaid Wifi. Strangest thing so far is there's a skip outside our temp rental and 2 blokes today were inside it looking and took some stuff & family up the road were sorting out their trees and guess where they put their waste??? 4 barrow loads later:unsure:LOL. ali
Welcome to Perth, I often do my shopping in one store due to convenience, I work full time and really don't have the time to go to different shops, you'll soon find out which stores sell the things you like best. verystormy
Cheapest way to communicate with family is Skype. We have an iPad on pay as you go with vodaphone and spend about $20 a month which is in use almost constant on the net.

Rossmoyne
Welcome to our fair city and I hope all is going well for you here so far! Enjoy your forays into the shops - it is nothing like UK and hopefully you will enjoy the difference and try new brands and products. However when you really do have to have that certain Brit product, be assured there are some shops around Perth that cater for those of us you just have to have a certain "fix" now and again. google will provide you with all their addresses!
