Work in Perth

Hi there to anyone that reads this,

As the construction industry in the Uk virtually stops I’m currently looking for work further a field. Having been married for 7 years and have a 5 year old son we have discussed moving to Australia, But as my wife is a teacher would she find work in teaching, my wife would also like it if it was all set and ready with me working before she and my son made the move out to join me,

So can anyone help me with a few Questions, firstly can I just turn up and work , do I need to be sponsored to come across to Aus for work, is the any contract work so I can get to see what it is like before we make the move complete which I guess would be the best outcome "try it before you buy it"

So if anyone can suggest any agencies or might know of contract recruitment
