Good Schools

My daughter has just finished year 12 at Leeming Senior High School and it was on the radio today that it was in the top 3 state schools for exam results behind Perth Modern and Rossmoyne - it's well deserved for a great school that has recently opened a trades centre to encourage people to remain in school and also is home to a special education department.

One to consider if you're still 'stuck' on schools, they also have a wider catchment area than Rossmoyne

We are looking at the Leeming / Willeton area and hope to do a reccie in March/April. Our daughters are only 3 & 5 but our first criteria for when we eventually move is to find a good senior school and try and rent/buy in that area. Its good to get first hand feedback as the internet is useful but "from the horses mouth" is always more reassuring. Thanks for the post!

All the primary schools in Leeming and Willeton have good reputations, My son has just finished at Leeming Primary (my daughter did a year there), next year he'll be at Leeming SH ... a friend who has taught in a lot of private schools is sending his son there also and says it compares favourably with those he's taught at.

I can only go off our experience, my daughter is a quiet girl and had only been here a year before going to Leeming - she has loved her time there, our friend who has taught in a few private schools says their facilities rival the schools he has taught in and is sending his own son there.

It's a very inclusive and integrated school, my daughter said that having the special education dept within the school has certainly aided the main stream students who go there to be tolerant and accepting. The year 12 students attended the school ball just like any other year 12 students ... it's these little things that for me give a whole impression of a school and not just exam results.

The school has an academic extension programme and science acadamy and the suburb has a great community feel.
