Anyone else like myself still trapped in the northern hemisphere, elbow deep in paperwork going to a 'Working Abroad' Expo?

I'm looking forward to the Dublin one on 2-3 March. Am travelling down for the weekend from Belfast suitably armed with CVs - sorry - resumés, questions and €10.

Anyone else interested there's info on the website at

Hi there,

my hubby and I are also considering going to Dublin, but have you seen there are two Expos in March? I was wondering which one of those two is better?

Anyone?

Unfortunately not Uberdogmag! Slightly different clientele and not nearly enough cars!

The Down Under Live expo was much smaller than I'd expected. There were a handful of Removal specialists, health insurance and Finance companies. There were a grand total of two recruiters (unless you were interested in NZ and then there was another).

I got the feeling that this was more aimed at people who were considering a move rather than already in the process. So there were Visa assessments on offer etc. Having said that we did get some useful information from the seminars that were being held and also some good details of companies that we may look to use.

From a recruitment perspective the Opportunities abroad sounds better.
