  1. Thanks both for the replies. I have already done my IELTS and got the certificate through the other day, so thankfully that is sorted. I have just been trying to sort the documents for anmac. I rang the university the other day to try to get transcripts but they only hold records for 10 years and I qualified 13 years ago!! So I have emailed the nmc to send them a copy, how long that will take I don't know. Then realised that I have to get nmc to send a verification letter as well so have emailed again asking for that!! But apparantly after the email they then have to send me a pack to request the letter. I don't think this will arrive before I fly to Oz at the weekend so i guess there is not much more I can do until I come home again. Ah well just hope everything then runs smoothly. Just wondering for the points on the visa for age. Is it you age at the time of EOI or you age when the invite you to apply?
  2. Just wondered if i could have a bit of advice please. Just trying to get my head round the in order in which to apply for everything. I am applying for a skilled visa as a nurse. So which order do I do the following in? 1) AHPRA registration 2) ANMAC skills assessment 3) EOI Is it as I have written it???!!!! Getting in a right muddle and starting to panic. Need to have application in by 40th birthday in august and worrying each bit will take ages?!! Flying out to Perth on sunday for a reccie, I can't wait. Bring on the sun:))) :smile2:
  3. Just got my results and got an 8.5 overall on acadamic test. With L=9, S=9, R=8 and W=7.5. So although let myself down a bit on the writing I am dead chuffed with the rest. Only prob now is I have to apply for the visa before my 40th birthday cos that 7.5 doesn't get me the extra points on age. never mind that just means I have to get my arse in gear, prob a good thing really!!!!!! Anyone else get their results today???

    Smart TV's

Hi, I just wondered if anyone could help on the issue of Smart TV's. My husband is having a wobble about moving to oz because he has heard that his smart tv won't work there!!! I'm sure there are far more important things to worry about than a smart tv, but to try and put his mind at rest I thought I would ask!! Anyway we have a panasonic smart tv so does anyone know if there will be any problems bringing it with us????
  5. Thanks, good luck to your OH as well!! Which test centre is she going to?
  6. I'm doing the dreaded IELTs tomorrow:shocked: Any last minute advice from anyone???

    Hi

This is my first post on here and I just wanted to say hi! I have been reading the posts for the last 8 months since we started thinking about moving to Perth. We are coming out for a month in feb to have a look around to make sure we like it (can't see why we won't) and then move some point within the year after. Anyway I was reading some posts earlier today about the IELTS test and someone suggested getting the study books from the library. Well all I can say is a big thankyou cos I have now been and borrowed a load of books which has saved me a load of money. Looking to sit the test in october so fingers crossed
