Hi, I'm 30, recently married and in the very early stages of my first pregnancy. We moved to Perth in February 2013 and live in North Perth, although we'll be moving to Ellenbrook around March time when our new house is finished. I am lucky and have a great network of Friends here, but none that are having or thinking of having children now and we don't have any family here either. It would be great to meet some others in the same situation as us so we can support each other and share the experience. We are delighted that I am pregnant, quite shell shocked but also a little apprehensive as we are going through this for the first time. Also we haven't used the heath service at all here so the whole experience seems quite daunting at the moment. If you are in the same situation feel free to contact me. x

Hi, We have a lovely double bedroom to rent in our house in Yokine. We would be happy to rent it out to someone who has just arrived in Perth who needs and initial place to stay, minimum of 4 weeks) or even better if you would like to stay longer. The room is fully furnished with a double bed, draws, full length mirror and walk in robe (with built in hanging space and shelves). The house is in a fantastic location only a 10 minute drive to the city/Leederville/Mount Lawley and 5 minutes to ECU. There are bus stops very close by, a local IGA and the Dog Swap shopping centre only a short distance away. The house is modern, spacious, clean and tidy with an open plan kitchen/dining/living room, a separate lounge room, laundry and outdoor yard. We have the full Foxtel package in both lounge rooms and unlimited WIFI. Parking is available on the street or could be available in the garage or on the drive. You would be living with 3 friendly professionals Poms that work full time, like to keep fit and to have fun on the weekends. We have all been in Perth 2-4 years so happy to hel you fid your feet if you are new to the area/country. The room is $180 per week (paid weekly) including all bills. Hi Kim, I got here in January 2013 with my Finance Kevin. It was a hard first 6 months but since then things have picked up for us and we are now very settled. I've made some lovely friends thanks to this site and still try to meet as many new people as possible. Where do you live?
