No, I understand its not as easy as turning up with a portfolio, and we also understand we need a visa 1st. We're just exploring avenues at the moment and as photography is my passion wondered if that was an option. I think we need to speak to a professional about career paths based on our current jobs. Hi All My partner and I are looking to move to Perth from the UK. One of his passions is photography and is looking at making a career from it. Please can anyone advise if there are many photographers in Perth for different occasions such as weddings, events, family or pet portraits, product photography etc. also do you know of any qualifications required to work as a photographer in Oz. thanks Lindsay

Thanks guys, the police and nursing are not on our list of things we would like to do if we re locate. My 1st enquiry is to look into photography as this is a great passion of mine. I would like to know what the demand is if any?

Thanks Donna, Its just very hard to see what jobs are in demand as it states on the list that not all jobs qualify? Is it worth re training or are we dreaming and wasting our time? we would love to raise a family in perth, The UK is in such a state and its only getting worse! WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO GET TO OZ! AARRGGHHH. lol

Hi All First of all I'd like you introduce our self's. We are a married coulple grant and lindsay from yorkshire, We are seriously looking into moving to perth Oz. From the research we have done Perth is more a family location. Our plan would be to start a family when we eventually get there. We are both looking into training for a new occupation in order for us to gain access to Oz. I am a very keen photographer. What I would like to know is, are there any recognised qualifications that are applicable in Oz that would be accepted on the SOL list. My wife is looking into a beauty therapy qualification, again what qualification would she need that would be accepted in Oz. I mainly have an office based back ground, call centre, telemarketing, sales, customer service and mainly in the insurance sector, would a Cert II In Insurance gain me access? My wife also comes from an office based background and currently works for a large IT company. Any help on this matter or any other would be gratefully appreciated.
