Hello all, I was wondering if anybody works within the Oil and Gas sector? Looking to migrate through a 189 visa but i am struggling to get any information in regards to jobs. I am currently a Senior Electrical Designer, i have emailed many agencies asking about job vacancies and rates of pay but have had very little feedback. So was hoping that people out in Australia could help with the information. What vacancies are available for Electrical Designers and what are the rates of pay. I currently work as a contractor in the UK oil and gas sector so was hoping that there are contractors jobs out in Australia, is this a possibility. Unfortunatley any job info involves me taking a wage decrease to move to Australia (40%-50%!!!)

Hi all, I wondered if anybody went to the following: Where are all the jobs in the Oil and Gas Industry meeting, held at ART GALLERY of WESTERN AUSTRALIA (Thursday 12th March 6pm-8pm) I currently live in the UK but i am really looking to emigrate to Australia, but the problem is there seems to be little in the way of work (I am an Electrical Designer). I got notice of the above meeting from an agency in Perth so was wondering if anybody went and if they managed to get good information. Cheers
