Hi, we have just moved to Secret Harbour - staying with my sister, but will move after Christmas, as we are on a 475 visa and have visa restrictions. Therefore we are looking to live in 6210 post code, a little further south towards Mandurah... Lakelands, Meadow Springs, Madora Bay etc??? We are from Derby/Nottingham area, are 39/40 years young and have two children (daughter 13 & son 10 which are now enrolled in Secret Harbour schools).. My husband is a footie fan and having withdrawal symptons already!!! he is also looking for someone to play golf with.... I enjoy the gym/classes and have joined The Club at Port Kennedy and am trying to work on my tan.... but it keeps raining !!!! LOL. Anyone out there with children of similar ages and/or common interests????

Hi, we arrived in Secret Harbour 2 weeks ago... staying with my sister at the moment. We will be heading towards the Mandurah area after Christmas as we too are on a 475 visa and have restrictions on living and working. We have a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. We have got our children in to the Secret Harbour schools... and Will, our son is loving it... but Megan is struggling.... she was in year 9 in the UK (Derby) and has now gone in to the end of the school year in year 8..... she is usually outgoing and participates in school activities, has come from a large group of girly friends, loves dancing, singing and drama...... and now is quiet and withdrawn and depressed!!!! its pretty heartbreaking.... and has put a black cloud over the experience for us all... but on the bright side... the school have been fantastic and she has had a couple of days off... and has a new timetable, a peer mentor and the school has organised a 'new starters' tea morning session as there a a few new starters apparently?... so will start a fresh on monday.... fingers crossed and crossed again!!! My husband is footie mad... and having withdrawal symptoms already!!!!!! I've joined a gym, we have brought a car.... so making progress slowly!

Hi, I am a fully qualified Food Tech teacher in the UK, but my qualifications do not match au.... so have managed to get a visa for a college teacher instead (vocational teacher). I teach food tech and hospitality & catering, although my degree is in Nutrition. Can anyone help me find a job to do with any of the above!!!! teaching or not? I think I will have to take another course to work in a college to transfer over???? Not sure where to start though. Any help to point me in the right direction would be great. Heading to the Mandurah area. Thanks.... we are moving over in October and am really excited about our new life. We have family in Secret Harbour and have been over to Oz 3 times now and absolutey love it! Michelle

Hi, we are moving to Secret Harbour in October and my OH is going to miss English Football so much its starting to worry me if he is actually going to give this new life a go or not...I've got visions of him pine-ing for his team and his mates at the match. He's a big Notts County Fan and England Fan... but follows all teams and just loves football and most sports. Are there any ardent football and cricket fans out there he can link up with now and again to keep him sane, and me happy!!!!!?
