  3. Kirsteen and Colin, Thanks for the post, not really had too much time to think about it with all the running about just now.....but we know it's close and the goodbye's are just around the corner!!! We are heading for the Rockingham area (probably Baldivis or Secret Harbour). All the best for your move when the time comes, we will keep you posted on how it all goes.... Ewan & Vicky

We are looking forward to arriving in our new home, getting the kids settled in School, starting work, making new friends and learning to Surf!!! See you soon!!! Ewan. Vicky and Family.
  5. Great news and a Great feeling!, we also got our 457 visa approved a week ago....traveling at the end of June. Good Luck with your move!
  6. Thanks everyone for the good wishes, it's starting to feel real now.....so much to do, where do you start!!!!!!!!!! For all those still waiting, good luck and we'll hopefully see you in Perth soon!!!

  8. Hello Everyone, Looking for some help here, my family (wife and 3 children) and I are due to arrive in Perth late June / early July and are looking for some advice with regards to short term furnished accomodation in the Secret Harbour / Baldivis areas. With the removals being so close to our departure we will be without our household goods for a period following arrival, without going into panic mode we need to start thinking about where we are going to live while we secure a long term rental and wait for our goods to arrive. If anyone has information on suitable family rentals in this area it would be a great help. Thanks Ewan
  9. Help!!!! Does anyone currently commute from North to South, if so could you please advise on the commute times and what the rush hour periods are! Still need to understand rough timescales to help with our suburb search....or to rule out the North all together! Thanks.
  10. Cheers, The article does not make great reading......especially if we were to live North, so more thinking to do.....
  11. Hello everyone! Well it's just the medical to go then my offer should be in the post so to speak, hopefully all going well we should be arriving in Perth around April / May.....so not long now!!! Having started the North or South debate with regards to where to live I was wondering if anyone could comment on commuting times, I will be working in the Kwinana Beach area and was wondering how long the daily commute would take from Joondalup? I have checked the 'route planners' and it's coming in between 45-60mins, is this accurate? I will be working shifts so hopefully I would miss any rush hour with my job starting at 7am / 7pm. The reason I ask is to help with our suburb and school short list.....which is top priority. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, oh and please feel free to comment on the commute times from suburbs in the South, we would like to understand all our options.... If you could also recommend family friendly areas and opinions on state schools (primary and secondary) this would also be a great help... Thanks, Ewan
  12. thanks stormy , thats more great info, sounds like the kind of place we would be looking for ! i'll have a wee look at the link .....we currently live in a small coastal town so being by the sea would be nice (though ours is very cold except for the odd few days a year when the sky turns blue ) ......thanks again for the info ..
  13. Irn Bru and Slice, sounds like my kind of place We will have a good look now so thanks for the info. We currently live in a small west coast town next to the sea and would ideally be looking for somewhere similar, not too close to the city but then again not to far! Were hopefully heading out april time so maybe catch up when we get settled , really glad to hear its been a great move for you ..positive feedback always helps ...thanks ewan & vicky
