  1. Hi. We are moving to Morley in September and I'd be very grateful for advice on childcare centres. Our twins will be four at the end of July which I believe means they can only start kindy part time next Jan/Feb. I also have a two year old and was wondering if it is possible to get somewhere that will take him and the twins - do the centres offer childcare and kindy together? Thanks in advance
  2. Thank you for your opinion but I'm on a tight timescale so have chosen to front load. Before you tell me there is no guarantee of speeding up the process I'm aware that this is the case. I don't recall at any point stating I would automatically get a visa granted.
  3. Hi. Just another wee query. My skills assessment is due back this week...is it ok to go ahead with police and medical checks when you submit your EOI? I've read on the immi website not to do the health declaration if you have submitted a visa application. So I'm presuming I'm ok to get both done while I wait for my invite. The police check looks like it will take a couple of weeks but started to fill my health declaration at the weekend to find I need passports for our 3 children! I hope to get this sorted on the fast track system this week but wanted to ask if you have any idea how long it might take? Bit of a long shot I know but with having to arrange an appointment I'm not sure what the timescale for this could be. I think it's taking approximately a month from EOI to invite...you mentioned something about the medical centre uploading directly?
  4. Sorry I meant we plan to front load both checks for the application. What is the 'Form 80'?
  5. Thank you for the replies. Yes I'm aware we have a year from the police and medical checks. I am currently waiting for my skills assessment to then put in my EOI. Can you advise where or who I need to contact to get the checks done now? Am I right in saying I fill in a health declaration on the immi website and they give me the HAP and advise on medical centre to attend? How do I go about the police check?
  6. Hi there, Could anyone offer advice on this for a 189 visa? Many thanks
  7. Hi, We are hoping to move out to Perth next Summer when our twins will have just turned four. Their birthday is on 25th July and from what I have read they can only start kindy in Jan 2017 and pre school Jan 2018 due to the 30th June cut off. This means they will be 6 1/2 before they start school! What I would like to know is are the schools flexible with this date so they could start pre school in Jan 2017. It just seems crazy considering they are already at preschool now!
  8. Ps it's unlikely we will be entitled to any benefits as we will both be working
  9. Hi. Thank you for this. I was factoring for $100 per day per child before the rebate. But worked out with the cap we'd only get it 7.5 months out of the year. We reckon we will have to postpone for a year to have two in preschool and one in kindy. Would you have any idea what the daily rate (per child) would be for before and after school care? Many thanks
  10. Sorry to but into this thread but is family day care the equivalent of a childminder in the UK? If so, could you tell me the cost please as we are considering a move to Perth and have three littles ones (3 year old twins and a 1 year old). Many thanks
  11. Hi, With a proposed move to Perth we are in the unfortunate position of putting three children into childcare! Do they happen to offer discounts for siblings? Also I presume once you hit the $7500 cap you have to pay full for the remainder of the year?? If this is correct we could potentially have to pay $6000 per month five months of the year!! Am I right??
  12. We are certainly happy to go inland a bit...we are moving from the countryside so very used to that type of living and would probably prefer it (although we don't want to be too isolated). We initially mean to start in the North but as much as we want to be reasonably close to family our jobs, best schools and areas for families will influence our search. How have you found living in Perth?
  13. Do you mind me asking if you have moved from the UK?
  14. Thanks for your post. We don't have any jobs lined up yet as we aren't planning to move to next August/September. I am a secondary school teacher and my husband a joiner. Ideally it would be nice to be close to the beach but not so close to incur the massive rental costs. So even a short drive. Amenities, sporting outdoor activities etc would be a bonus. We primarily want good schools for the kids but also an area which offers plenty of things to do with them and obviously be safe and secure. We are initially heading to my brother in law NOR - they are in the process of looking to buy. But that's really our base to find our feet. I have heard the South has become very built up and the North is a better option?? I have also been on the real estate website to see what we can afford but I haven't really a clue where I am looking! We are potentially wanting to buy after a period of renting if everything works out for us
