Lived in Dubai for a year or so. It is fantastic, though may be a bit pricey but there are some bargains to be had if you investigate in advance, such as the big 5 star hotels. Pick ups by stretch limos etc. But less available during the big festivals there. Booze is not a big issue, some of the best bars I have ever been to are in Dubai. Medicines? keep prescriptions handy. When outside hotel areas just be reasonable. In Ramadam things become very conservative so avoid. Do some internet research as you woud on any vacation Cheers

we were on vacation in perth and further north to coral bay last sept. lots of greasy cafs selling great bacon butts. plus some cracking pork pies, especially at the butchers in a mall in hidden harbor.

It is dead easy. The missus had similar issue. She called the London Embassy they gave an email address to send certain scanned pages of the new passport and visa. No counter signatures or additional costs. Cheers. - Hey thats my first post here.
