mark.s.tindall Posted January 24, 2014 Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 My wife who will arrive in Perth from the UK in 3 weeks is a NVQ Level 4 qualified nursery nurse and has looked after all ages from babies to after school club children. She would like if possible to move from the nursery type into either pre-school or a classroom assistants position. Can anyone give us some advice on whether this would be possible on her current qualifications or whether she would need to take extra courses or training? Admin Posted January 24, 2014 Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 Hi Requirements for working as a Teacher's Assistant can be found @ http://www.careercentre.dtwd.wa.gov.au/occupations/Pages/teachers-aide.aspx#eter I'd check with one of the TAFE's mentioned and see if it's possible to RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) through part or all of one of the courses.
