Arwen
older areas, east vic park nicer than vic park. ok for short term accommodation, not sure if I would want to be there with a family in the long term. just my opinion though. Guest michelle&steve&ki
I have a friend in Victoria park and when we visited back in January it wasn't my cup of tea, but what you will find is that it is probably expensive as you are right on top of the swan river and fairly close to perth itself, but hey each to their own. Just stay in hoiday accomodation for 4-7 day and have a look around the suburbs and then settle in you rental.
Guest Georgina
I'm currently working for a bank in East Vic Park and it seems really busy round about, people and traffic wise. There seems to be a lot of older houses around too. A website you might find useful is http://www.aussiemove.com - it gives some info on suburbs and the cost of accommodation.
